Secret Garden

Saturday, I took a break from the house decorating and painting and headed out to brunch with my gal pals. Normally, we head to Saba, but this time to change things up a bit we decided to go to Chez Max on Baggot street for some French food instead.

It was a gloriously sunny day, and I was a bit disappointed when we got there because the entrance is down in the baseament. Sad. But then we were led up the stairs to this quaint little garden/sun-trap. It was AMAZING! We practically had the place to ourselves. The food was delish and after several bottles of wine, I certainly thought I was in France and not in Dublin. I highly recommend checking this place out. Their indoor restaurant is lovely and would be a great place for a romantic date.

After brunch, the girlies and I wandered around the bars of Dublin. We had a fab, fab time! PLUS, when I got home, BF had built our bookcase for the living room. We had gone to Ikea on Friday and bought all this stuff, and he completed one of the projects while I was out boozing. Such a keeper!

Fun-doran

While BF was unpacking (and taking up all the good drawer space!), the girls and I headed up to Bundoran this past weekend for a girly weekend away. We rented what-turned-out-to -be a lovely apartment right by the beach and next to the Sea Session Festival. Even though I didn't know any of the musical acts, I didn't really care. We had the most fun weekend.

We spent it drinking, eating and enjoying the sun- seriously could not have asked for a better weekend. It was actually warm. Girls in bikini's on Irish beaches? That's unheard of!

The girlies also surprised me with a cake-cutting, present-opening party. FUN!

Girly Night Out

With BF away for the week, I finished of my week of girliness with pink cocktails and fancy dress (not costumes but dress up/ going out clothes). Friday night, the gals and I headed to our friend's house for a round of really girly drinks. When we were properly jolly, we headed to meet some friends at the 51 which is a local pub near the friend's house.

After several rounds of drinks where we thought we were still 21 years old (JaegerBombs and Baby Guinness), we headed to a local dancing hot spot. There was a group of about 15-20 of us so we grabbed a spot on the dance floor and boogied the night away.
