Summer Dreaming

It is SO dreary here in Ireland and makes me wish I was back in the warm sun of New England! I've been dreaming about the summer and want, want, want the following things to remind me that somewhere summer exists.

I have a boatload (see how I did that? :p) of travel bracelets, but not any from New England. That has to be remedied I think.

In my daily travel and fashion blog reads, I came upon this GORGEOUS picture... Love the maxi skirts, love the sea, love the little house in the middle of the ocean.

I did some intense research clicked on the picture and learned that the little house is actually a restaurant, and it happens to be in Zanzibar which is where I'll happen to be in October. I quickly sent an email to the Rock Restaurant, and I'm in the process of booking a table for me and future hubby (EKKS!) for a honeymoon lunch. So excited!!!

Forever 21

Happy June! I can't believe it's June 1st already- only 27 more days until the big 3-0 for me. Regardless of my actual age, I kind of pretend I'm really only 21. I still get carded here so it's ok, right? Riiiiiiight...

But the big news of the day... Forever 21, a fab US store for cheap and trendy pieces, is opening up in Dublin!!!!!

When I use to go out in Boston, I would wear jeans and a cool, trendy top with heels, but the Irish girls work it over here. Since moving I've had to adjust my going out style to incorporate sky high trendy heels and hip dresses. It's been actually really fun to dress up so I'm excited because Forever 21 has cheap pieces that will work perfectly for Dublin. I wonder though if the prices will be as cheap as in the US. Doubtful.

What the heck!?

I went shopping last night for my outfit for our party this weekend. In doing my research, I came upon this.



I'm not sure what is scarier... the dress or the fact that it is sold out online.

Mortifying!

I was multitasking yesterday- Emailing a client about a new product and emailing a friend about ankle boots.

Instead of sending my client the link to the product, I sent him a link to the shoes I like. My client is fun so not so bad, right?

The mortifying part is that I sent him a pair of shoes with SEQUINS! EKKKS! I was describing to my friend how I like the shape of the shoe but wish it were in a normal material - Not sequins



I've never met this client before so my image as a nice, classic client manager is now marred. My client probably thinks I'm a floozy!

Playing Dress Up

I work in a very casual office and there really is no dress code here. Really! I've seen people in Pj's or worse- socks with Teva's!

But today, there's a large client event happening in the office and everyone is dressed to the nines. Suits were pulled out of the closet and dusted off. Heels were polished and make up is perfectly applied. Everyone looks super cute!

But my heels are hurting already :( soooo glad we normally get to dress down.
