All Dressed Up

So after the dress freak out of last week where Kleinfeld's wasn't sure where my dress was, I got my sister who is a tough-y to call them up and harass. She is amazing and got them to deliver my dress on Tuesday- hours before my first dress fitting. Whew!

And readers, I love the dress even more! It's way better then I remembered. Woop! A huge bonus, the only thing that needs to be fixed is the length (obviously cause I'm a shortie) otherwise everything else fits PERFECTLY.

With my dress all sorted, it was time to focus on BF. Had he put any thought into his suit like I asked? Nope... so we spent some time trying on loads of suits...

"Hello, What kind of car are you folks looking for today?" Yeesh... I HATED  greatly disliked the color of this suit, which was BF's originally pick. The suit above is from Banana BTW.

Eventually, I steered him towards a darker gray *whew*. I love the pic below. I think he got lucky and I caught him in a good angle on this suit cause he looks slightly like a male model in this one... I'm also not sure if he has to match his dudes or not... Any suggestions, dear readers? Is it acceptable to have the groom in a different suit from the groomsmen?

Working it...

It's been nuts this week as we've been running around finalising all our wedding stuff plus trying to catch up with friends. I will definitely be updating more in the next couple of days, but I actually have spent most of my days in the car running back and forth between New Hampshire and Boston.

However, I wanted to share a sneak peak of a photo our photographer sent over from our engagement photo session this AM.

Freak out!

I had my first bridal freak out last night. I'm flying home tomorrow (can't wait) and have TONS of wedding stuff to do. One of the most important- my first dress fitting. However, even though I contacted and confirmed with the dress shop to ensure my dress would be in NH by April 25th.... they don't actually know where the dress is...EKKS! My sister called and tried to check in for me but nothing :( I don't think I will have my dress on time. BOO!

On the plus side, BF sent me an email (he's been away in the Philippines for work all week) to wish me a happy getting engaged anniversary. SWOON. So cute.

Beauty Advice

I need some beauty help asap! I very rarely wear makeup and have been using the same skin care routine since I was 13 (Johnson & Johnson Clean & Clear- amazing!) With the upcoming wedding, I decided I need some help and advice for all the events leading up to the wedding. (Obviously I will have someone doing my hair and makeup on the actual day otherwise it would be a DISASTER!).

I'll decided to focus on upping my fakery factor for the big day- fake eyelashes and some hair extensions. It's like I'm tricking BF into marrying a gorgeous version of me (HA!). So with hours of Youtube videos watched, I decided to tackle fake eyelashes this weekend and readers...it was a TERRIBLE. I am too embarrassed to put up pictures :)

After that fakery burn, I decided to leave the eyelashes to the professionals and move on to hair where I was MUCH more successful. It is REALLY weird to my friends that I'm even thinking about it cause I don't do much with my hair either, but I decided for the wedding, it would be necessary so I dragged myself to try them on. What do you think? Pretty realistic, eh? And the color matches amazingly!

Happy Birthday April Babies!

Happy birthday to my oldest sister. It was her birthday yesterday (Oops!) And happy birthday today to my baby sister. (Must have been some kind of anniversary, eh, parents?) Looking forward to seeing them at the end of the week when I'm home.

Woop! BF and I ordered our wedding rings last night. YEAH! We tried them on over the past weekend, and I LOVE mine...really small and delicate. BF just got a plain band. It was really weird to see him wearing jewelry. I can't wait to wear them!

Bliss

I've been so focused on the icky amazing and unique (??) camping aspect of our Honeymoon, I completely forgot about the relaxing portion of it! After our camping safari, we'll be heading to Zanzibar for a couple of days and staying at this lovely private beach which BF showed me pictures of last night. Amazing, no?
